School and Child Care- 100 Mile House

100 Mile House is part of Cariboo-Chilcotin School District 27. There are a variety of choices for schools available including French Immersion. There are special programs in School district # 27: Nature Kindergarten, lntergenerational program , grade 7 outdoor education, hockey skills Academy, French immersion, ACE IT industry training for high school kids, Heavy Metal Rocks, RCMP Academy, Secondary School Apprenticeship.

For children 0- 5 years old

For children under five years old, there are a variety of preschool and early years programs. A Strong Start Centre is a school-based, early learning parent participation program and provides a new gateway to lifelong learning. Located in local elementary schools, Strong Start Centres offer a free learning program for children under 5 years old. Parents and children attend these programs together.

Cariboo Family Enrichment Centre is located in 100 Mile and includes the Early Years Centre, the Child Care Resource and Referral program, the Pregnancy Outreach program and more, all services are geared to families. To find out more: click here.

Post-Secondary Education

At the post-secondary level, we have Thompson Rivers University Williams Lake Campus. They offer ample opportunities to extend education from Trades to Technology Diplomas, Nursing, University preparation and Associate Degrees. For more information www.tru.ca
